How WAS the NEI created? • If no tribal data - • Point inventory • Augmented data from state files, TRI, etc. • Double reporting state/tribes • Nonpoint • Past NEIs were county-based data • Onroad/Nonroad • Past NEIs used county-level activity data
How is the NEI created now? • Several values from various data sources • General Purpose Release to public is a single value • Tribal and state value is our first choice • No tribal data creates a hole
