Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten – An Extra-Ordinary Man
Rabbi Yaakov Weingarten was born in Jerusalem to a prominent and renowned rabbinical family. At the young age of 24, his paternal grandfather, Rabbi Chaim Yosef Dovid Weingarten was appointed rabbi of the neighborhood Batei Verner. His maternal grandfather, Rabbi Chaim Zevulun Charlap, son of Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Charlap, was the rabbi of the city of Rishon Letzion for half a century.
