  2. Introducing the OCIMF The OCIMF is the Oil Companies International Marine Forum and was established in April 1970 as a response to the growing concerns among the public regarding marine pollution. The OCIMF coordinated various anti-pollution initiatives that had begun to emerge following the 1967 Torrey Canyon oil spill. In 1971, the International Marine Organisation granted the OCIMF consultative status. Victor Olerskiy

  3. " The TMSA3 standard from the OCIMF has recently been implemented at Sovcomflot, Russia’s largest shipping company. The Voice of the Oil Industry Guidance and Regulation Since first being launched, the OCIMF has been responsi- ble for providing guidance on current issues, which in recent years include Arctic shipping and piracy. The organisation has also contributed to the for- mulation of International Ma- rine Organisation regulations and leveraged its wide mem- bership expertise to press reg- ulations forward more quickly. The OCIMF has 107 member countries to date and is wide- ly recognised as a platform for providing environmentally responsible and safe practic- es throughout the oil indus- try. Continuous improvement standards are set through the OCIMF for the handling of hy- drocarbons both on board ves- sels and in terminals. Victor Olerskiy
