RuleML is … • Running RuleML annual symposia for research & industry • Learning requirements for practical specs from industry • Developing open source engines, translators, editors, … • Collecting test cases, use cases, and prototypes • Partnering with standards bodies • W3C: Rule Interchange Format (RIF) • OMG: Production Rule Representation (PRR) andSemantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules (SBVR) • OASIS: Legal XML and Policy RuleML • ISO: Common Logic (CL) • Vertical standards: XBRL, FpML, ACORD, … • Creating interoperability pathways between these specs

  4. RuleML Interoperation RuleML as clearing house for studying interoperation between RIF, CL, SBVR, PRR, N3, Prolog, etc.
