  2. H.O.M.E. - What is it exactly? • H.O.M.E. is a volunteer service organization at Media School. We are involved in service projects in our school and community. We are H.O.M.E.

  3. The H.O.M.E. Team • Everyone at Media Elementary School • Fifth graders provide the leadership

  4. H.O.M.E. Work (Projects) • Read to Kindergarten • Greeters and Guides on Grandparents/Special Friends’ Day • Coordinate school wide efforts during Holiday sharing • Assist at Harvest Fair and Holiday Workshop • Providing leadership with school –wide initiatives

  5. How do I join? • H.O.M.E. is open to all interested fifth graders. It is a volunteer organization. There is an application process that you will need to complete. Completing the application is your opportunity to explain why you are a good candidate for this program.

  6. H.O.M.E. Application • Cover Letter - show this to your family • Application Page - this is for you! • Recommendation - someone who knows you well, besides your parent. • Parent Page - check it out!

  9. Recommendation • To be completed by someone other than your parents • Have them tell why you are a good candidate for this program • Use paper provided or your own • Don’t forget the signature…their signature! • Please be respectful of their time.
