Overview of the CAT 2017 CAT 2017 will be an online entrance examination. It will have a total of 100 MCQs and non-MCQs divided into four sections. The four sections are: 1. Verbal Ability 2. Reading Comprehension 3. Quantitative Ability 4. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning The verbal ability and reading comprehension are clubbed together.
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension The Section I in CAT 2017 will be the verbal ability and reading comprehension. Based on the previous year’s paper, it can be said that candidates will find this section quite easy to complete.
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning The Section II in CAT 2017 will be data interpretation and logical reasoning. This is the toughest section in the CAT exam. It requires a thorough knowledge of concepts and formulae to be able to solve problems and select the right answer.
Section III: Quantitative Ability This section of the CAT relates to quantitative ability. It is moderately difficult and requires focus and concentration to solve the problems.
CAT 2017 Results Aspirants who crack the CAT 2017 receive call letters to participate in the next round which is usually the group discussion and personal interview. The actual admission criteria in management schools vary and the CAT is used as a medium to shortlist candidates for actual admission.
