  2. Introduction Your gateway to the 20 Indian Institutes of Management and several other reputed B-Schools in the country, CAT 2017, is all set to be conducted by IIM-Lucknow. The final date of the exam is expected to fall sometime in December 2017 or January 2018. The online registrations for the same are expected to begin in August 2017.

Some of the Courses offered • Post Graduate Program/PGP • Post Graduate Program in Enterprise Management/PGPEM • Post Graduate Diploma in Management/PGDM • Post Graduate Program Agribusiness Management/PGP-ABM • Post Graduate Program in Public Policy Management/PGPPM • Post Graduate Program in Securities Markets/PGPSM

Exam Pattern • As per the CAT 2017 pattern, it will be a computer based test • The exam will be 180 minutes long • The CAT 2017 pattern consists of 100 objective type questions • For each correct answer three marks will be allotted • For each wrong answer one mark will be deducted • The question paper will have 3 sections • Students will be allotted 60 minutes for each section • The question will cover logical reasoning and data interpretation, quantitative ability, verbal ability, and reading comprehension • Students will be provided with on-screen calculators for all calculation purposes

Eligibility Criteria • Students must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks from a recognized institution • The minimum qualification for reserved categories, including scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward castes is 45% • Candidates in the final year of their graduation about to take their final exams are also eligible

  6. Fee structure • The application fee for all general category and OBC students is Rs. 1700 • Application fee for SC/ST/PWD students is Rs. 850

  7. Registration • The application forms for the exam will only be available online • The forms will be available on the official website of CAT • The forms will be available from August, up to a specified date in September • The payment options include net banking, debit cards, and credit cards
