  1. Saxophone Unit Plan

  2. Lesson 1 Lesson 1 will be over the saxophone similarities to other instruments. This will mainly be covering how some of its techniques and fingerings are similar to that of clarinet and flute.

  3. Lesson 2 Lesson 2 will cover the differences between Jazz saxophone playing and Classical saxophone playing. This will be topics such as articulation, tone, ornamentation, and style.

  4. Lesson 3 Lesson 3 will consist of a piece of Saxophone Repertoire. The song will be the second movement of the Jacobi Sonata for Eb Alto Saxophone and piano. In this piece we will cover how dynamics are affected by where in the saxophone’s range the player is playing.
