1 Peter 1:23(NASB) • 23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
The word of the Kingdom is the seed that is imperishable that will regenerate you
Born again- to regenerate, • to father a new, • to bring into existence again
Gods act of bringing into existence a new person, which the change is for the better
John 3:1-(NASB) • 3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?”
5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
1. A christian has experience being born twice • Your first is through your fathers seed, your second through is through Gods seed
If Gods seed dose germinate in the soil of your heart you can not be born again
1 John 3:9(NASB) • 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
A person is born again by the seed of the Kingdom • If you are not born again you will not be able to enter the Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God has been reserved for those who have been born again a second time into the newness of life through Christ Jesus
If the word of God is sows in your heart and you are born again you will not practice sin
1 Peter 1:3-10(NASB) • 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
If God raised Jesus from the dead He will also raise us from the dead if the seed of the kingdom is sown in our heart and we are born again
Romans 1:16(NASB) • 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
If we do not allow the seed of the gospel to remain in our heart we will not be protected when it come time to enter the Kingdom of God
The seed is the word of the Kingdom • The ground is the world • The crops is those who are born again
1 Corinthians 3:6(NASB) • 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.
Mark 4:26-34(NASB) • 26 And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; 27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.
28 The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. 29 But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
30 And He said, “How shall we picture the kingdom of God, or by what parable shall we present it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil,
32 yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that the birds of the air can nest under its shade.”
33 With many such parables He was speaking the word to them, so far as they were able to hear it; 34 and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples.
Life is in the seed • Power is in the seed • How can we fulfill the great commission if we don't sow • seed
Jesus, the Seed of David. Jesus is He whose right it is to sit upon David's throne and to rule Israel for eternity.
Jesus is the Son of David and the Son of God. Jesus will fulfill the eternal covenant God made with David.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder....Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever" (Isa. 9:6, 7).
"He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" (Luke 1:32, 33).
The Bible teaches that the resurrection of Christians will occur prior to the Millennium. During the Millennium, resurrected saints will reign with Christ upon earth.
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years" • (Rev. 20:6).
"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth" (Rev. 5:9, 10).
The first text, Revelation 20:6, depicts the duration, and the second text, Revelation 5:9, 10, explains the location of the believers' future reign with Christ.
The first text tells how long; the second text tells where. Christians will reign with Christ one thousand years upon earth. Since the resurrection of Christians will occur when Jesus comes, our Lord's coming must precede the Millennium.
