NEUROTIC PERSONALITY • The odd man out • He is a problem to himself and not to the society. • He has his own problems like anxiety, worry, fear, depression,etc.
HYSTERICAL PERSONALITY • Dramatises • Is histrionic • Fainting spells without any neurological evidence.
DEPRESSED PERSONALITY • Cries very easily • Loses sense of reality if anyone blackmails emotionally • Unable to show activeness i.e. slow, less enthusiastic • Overly sensitive • negative • Angry, agitated, violent • Avoids situatioins
Paranoid Personality • I am great: You are wrong. (Grandiosity) • All of you are after me (Persecution) • All of you are plotting against me (Suspicion). • Exacting (It would take ten minutes to reach here, why did you take fifteen) • Very inflated eg. • Very argumentative. Will not end till he does not have the last word. • Rigid • Quick to take offence • Emotional responses are shallow; poor social relations,etc

Manic Personality • Excitatory • Impulsive • Overspends; over talks: no balance in his relationships. Would love and hate the same person within a short period • Would not know what to say and what not to say to people or in social gatherings
ALCOHOLIC/GAMBLING PERSONALITY • Impusive • Irresponible • Lies easily • Swears frequently • Increases drinking liquor • Bets and takes uncalculated risks
OBSESSIVE PERSONALITY • Overly clean • Very repetitive • Very perfect (Perfectionist) • Slow • Poor decision making • Preoccupied with trivial details • Excessive concern for rules • Extreme anxiety if you do not follow his way
PSYCOPATHIC PERSONALITY • Very pleasing • Very attractive social manners • Unethical • No depth in emotions • Can stab you in the back at any time • Never bears guilt about anything • Impulsive and requires immediate need gratification • Reject Authority • Anti-social
SCHIZOID PERSONALITY • Quiet, withdrawn, slow • Loss of personal hygiene • Poor in social relationships • Paucity of language • Indifferent to praise and criticism • Inability to form attachments • Need for love fails to develop
