  3. Food What does it eat? How does it obtain its food? • Frogs, worms, small shellfish, vegetation, invertibres and clams. • Scoop up their food.

  4. Predators What are its predators? How does it avoid being eaten? • Foxes, raccoons, snapping turtles ,crocadiles and large fish will take ducklings. • Squawking and flapping on the ground pretending it’s hurt.

  5. Beak What is its beak like? How is it useful? • Yellow bill if male • Brown bill if female • Scooping seeds out of the plants.

  6. Feet What are its feet like? How are they useful? • Orange and red webbed feet. • Swimming in the water.

  7. Habitat • Northern hemisphere, wet lands, backyards, marshes, ponds, lakes, Canada and Eurasia.

  8. Lifecycle • The lifecycle is egg->duckling->migrate-> mother/father duck.
