Code of Good Practice for Staff Rights: To be treated as co worker and with dignity To have adequate training provided To receive pertinent information on the organisation To attend a work place that complies with H&S regulations To make complaints and have an effective complaints procedure
Code of Good Practice for Staff Responsibilities: Comply fully with recruitment process Ensure their attitude toward athletes, family members and volunteers respects their role/rights/dignity and worth Be sensitive to the possibility of becoming overly involved with an athlete Abide by policies and procedures

Organisation Management of Code of Ethics Issues Individual responsible for managing Code of Ethics & Good Practice issues for the organisation Each region has an identified person who has responsibility for the management of Code of Ethics and Good Practice Issues Programme Athlete Protection Officer (PAPO) Identified person to deal with Code of Ethics & Good Practice in an Affiliated Group Regional Athlete Protection & Medical Officer (RAPMO) Athlete Protection Officer (APO)

All concerns raised with APO ONLY At a social/training or competition activity • A concern or issue arises with the assistance if required of Concern is recorded & managed APO DAY TO DAY RAPMO, PAPO, Police Service and/or Statutory Services At an Event Medical Co-ordinator is the designated person to deal with issues of concern
On Receipt Of An Allegation DO Stay calm Allow the person to speak and you listen Act promptly without undue delay Record the discussion carefully on Incident Form Follow procedures outlined in the Code of Ethics document. • DON’T • Ask leading questions • Offer an opinion • Discuss the details with any person, other than those in the reporting line • Contact the alleged abuser
