History of MIVAN Technology • History of Mivan Technology dates back before 90’s • Its was first developed by a Construction Company of Europe which spread to other parts gradually. • In 1990’s a Malaysian Construction Company Started the manufacturing of Formworks which is is very much essential . This forms the base of that this technology . • Currently more than 30K sqm formworks are used for construction all over the world.

  4. When it is suitable • This technology is very much suitable for very large construction which includes large number of home but it has be fitted within the available space . Hence Space is one of the constraint in this technology. To execute the technology well their should a strong paper work which confirms the design well and make sure that there is no confusions in it later. This is because once the shutter design is finalised their will be less room for any type of changes. Hence before finalising the design their should be through check-up of design to avoid air cracks and other damages. • This technology is trending and is used in major construction projects which has large number of units that should be fitted in less space.

The Aluminium alloy Formwork is the Basic and Crucial Step in this method , hence care should be taken in every step, since a minute mistake causes a huge setback. • 1. Setting up the Wall reinforcing steel: • In this step, the wall reinforcing steel is used to form structure to the building, This reinforcement steel gives support to the concrete till it reaches 50% of designed strength. This steel mesh is Pre-casted in factory itself and can be easily erected on construction site. • 2. Placing Formwork: • As mentioned, MIVAN formwork is a ready-made one, Formwork is designed and manufactured in factory itself as per the required sizes of slabs, columns, beams, staircase and other structural elements of the buildings. By Pin and wedge system formwork is easily assembled on site. Formwork can be easily dismantled from the structure once the job is done. • 3. Pouring Concrete: • Once the formwork is placed, Freshly made concrete is poured inside the formwork to form the shape. Once the concrete gains required strength, the formwork is dismantled from the structure.

Disadvantages of MIVAN FORMWORK • Even though MIVAN Technology has many Advantages ,it also has few Demerits which is listed below • Visible Finishing Lines • Mivan Construction even though performs well on basis of Time and Quality. It Leaves marks of the slabs which will be visible even after modifications. • Limited Number of Framework Manufacturer • Another Disadvantage of MIVAN Formwork is the availability of manufacturer . Since not all the developers in India are using MIVAN Formwork Manufacturers and Raw Materials for this Technology is also available in Limited Number. • Does not Retain Moisture • One of major Disadvantage of MIVAN is that it will not retain the moisture for a longer time. Hence you may see cracks on the walls.
