Level 2A + give opinions about where you live = up to level 3A Level 3a + justifications and use of connectives = up to level 4a

  2. IN THIS UNIT YOU WILL BE USING THE VERB “TO LIVE”. IT IS A KEY WORD FOR THIS PROJECT. COPY IT DOWN CAREFULLY AND ACCURATELY IN YOUR BOOK. YOU WILL NEED TO REFER BACK TO IT OFTEN. HABITER – TO LIVE J’HABITE = I LIVE TU HABITES = YOU LIVE IL HABITE = HE LIVES ELLE HABITE = SHE LIVES NOUS HABITONS = WE LIVE VOUS HABITEZ = YOU LIVE ILS HABITENT = THEY LIVE

  3. COPY EACH OF THE PHRASES BELOW. USE THE PICTURE TO WORK OUT WHAT EACH ONE MEANS. ALL OF THEM MEAN “IN….”

  4. Write the following 6 names. Céline, Daniel, Serge, Nadège, Joelle, Elisabeth. 2. Play the Listening clip by clicking the sound icon. You will hear each question twice. Write down in English where each person lives. Marks out of 6. 6 = 2a, 5 = 2b, 4 = 2c, 3 = 1a, 2 = 1b, 1 = 1c. Write the level you achieved in your book.

  5. READ THE SENTENCES IN THE PINK BOX, THEN THE CORRESPONDING SPEECH BUBBLE. IS THE SENTENCE TRUE OR FALSE? DOES THE PERSON LIKE OR DISLIKE WHERE THEY LIVE? DOES THAT MAKE THE SMILEY TRUE OR FALSE? EXTENSION TASK: TRANSLATE SPEECH BUBBLES INTO ENGLISH.

  6. READ EACH BOX WITH THE LISTS OF WORDS. WHICH PICTURE DOES IT CORRESPOND TO? WRITE YOUR ANSWERS IN YOUR BOOK. SOME OF THE WORDS IN THE LISTS YOU HAVE SEEN BEFORE. SOME ARE NEW. WRITE ALL THE WORDS IN YOUR BOOK IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH. (SOME OF THEM ARE REPEATED SO YOU DON’T NEED TO WRITE THEM AGAIN) CAN YOU WORK OUT WHAT SOME OF THE NEW WORDS MEAN? DO THEY LOOK SIMILAR TO ENGLISH WORDS? THE LINK BELOW WILL HELP YOU AS WELL. CLICK HERE FOR A FRENCH DICTIONARY

  7. (ADJECTIVES) ADJECTIVES ARE “DESCRIBING WORDS” CAN YOU WORK OUT WHAT THESE ONES MEAN? YOU HAVE ALREADY WRITTEN SOME DOWN SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO WRITE THEM AGAIN. USE THE DICTIONARY AGAIN IF YOU NEED TO.

  8. WHAT ADJECTIVES WOULD YOU USE TO DESCRIBE THESE HOUSES? EG 1, GRAND, MODERNE, … COULD YOU USE THE DICTIONARY TO FIND MORE ADJECTIVES IN FRENCH TO ADD TO YOUR LIST? WRITE ANY NEW WORDS YOU FIND INTO YOUR BOOK. NOW CREATE YOUR OWN PRESENTATION. FIND SOME PICTURES OF HOUSES OR FLATS AND INCLUDE A LIST OF WORDS TO DESCRIBE EACH PICTURE.

LEVEL 3!!!!!!!!! • Oui, j’aime / j’adore / ça. • Non, je n’aime pas / je déteste ça • Pourquoi?
