Overview of InSync Education • InSync Education is a web-based library of resources in Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies for our parents. • We chose this system because it’s easy to use, developed specifically for parents, and aligns to our instruction. • You can learn more about InSync Education at: • www.insyncedu.com

  6. Key Features InSync Education has four key features: • Activities in four core subjects • Math • Science • Language Arts • Social Studies • Searchable • Standards-based • Available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole languages

  7. Signing Up for InSync Education • Go to http://www.insyncedu.com/insync • Enter your District Code: ENTER CODE HERE • Create your username/password and set your preferences • Click Create your Account to login. * After the initial sign-up you can login with the username/password you selected

  8. Logging In • How do I log into InSync Education? • How do I stay logged into InSync Education? • What if I forgot my password?

  9. Conducting Searches Search for resources in InSync Education in four ways: • by searchingkeywords • by searching Common Core Standards • by browsing an index of resources

  10. Discuss • Does your son or daughter struggle with any specific topics? • Is there a particular subject that your son or daughter finds especially difficult?

  11. Searching by Keywords • Keywords could anything from a topic, to a grade level, to a subject.

  12. Viewing Resources • Overviews • Activities • Additional Resources • Favorites • Print Screen • Print All

  13. Discuss Imagine that your 11-year-old son or daughter was having trouble in math class dividing numbers and a big test was coming up. What would you do?

  14. Viewing the Index Lists all resources in InSync Education by subject and grade. Sorts resources by: • Resource number • Grade • Category (type of resource) • Title

  15. Printing Resources and Favorites • How do I print a resource? • How do I save a resource I want to use later? • How do I see resources I’ve added to favorites?

  16. Discuss • What do you like about InSync Education? • How do you think InSync Education could help you? • What do you want to learn more about?
