Amazing Race: Photo Mapping

1. Amazing Race: Photo Mapping L.O:To demonstrate you ability to use a map, a compass, a scale and an iPad to win a timed amazing race.

2. Your Kit: • In your teams you will need: • A map • A compass • An iPad • A pencil • A ruler • Some GOOS for notes

3. Your Task: • The next 17 slides are photos taken from around the school campus. • Your job is to figure out where on the map these photos were taken from and mark them in (each photo has a number that you will write onto the map in the right place). • You then need to tell me what compass direct the camera was facing. • Finally to prove you went to each site you need to try take the same photo, but with a group member in the shot. • Get to as many as you can.

4. The Return Task: • Make a presentation with each picture as a slide with the direction on the picture. • Take a photo of your completed map and add this to your presentation
