And Then There Were None By: Agatha Christie
What is the crime/mystery/problem? • Who is the killer on Indian Island?
What type of Mystery Novel is it? • And Then there Were None is a detective story. • I has clues like when the record played it sounded like something a judge would say.
How is uncertainty and or suspense present in your novel? • You know how they will die, but which one?
Clues…. The phonograph gave a lot of clue like how everyone had killed someone. The poem told how each person would die. Everyone that is dead is not the murderer.
Suspects • Emily Brent • Vera Claythorne • Dr. Armstrong • Anthony Marston • Justice Wargrave • Philip Lombard • General Macarthur • Mr. Rogers • Mrs. Rogers • Mr. Blore
How it Was solved Mr. Justice Wargrave ends up being the killer. He faked his death and went around killing the rest. Once everyone was dead, he committed suicide so that he could not get caught. He killed them because they all killed someone indirectly, and the police could not prove it.
