ABOUT E4SM – Energy FOR SMART MOBILITY • Under the impetus of the Paris Agreement and the expecteddoubling of global demand for passengermobility in urbanised areas by 2050, the energy revolution in the transport sector is now being undertaken by all concerned players, with the support of digital technologies. • This transition to a new clean and intelligent mobility can not take place without the development of competitive, low-carbon energy available in the territories, ensuring security of supply and local economic development. • The Energy for Smart Mobility International Forum (E4SM), promoting technical and commercial exchanges,is an unmissable event for energy and mobility stakeholders to discuss energy solutions for tomorrow’s mobility. • Organisedby the French competitiveness cluster, Capenergies, and the media specialisedin the energy transition, GreenUnivers, on 14th and 15th of March 2019 in Marseille, the 2nd edition of the Forum E4SM will bring together more than 350 professionals: international experts and decision-makers, large groups and innovative start-ups, national and local authorities, as well as financers. • It is a unique moment for getting informed about trends and perspectives, latest technological solutions, economic and financial models, as well as legal frameworks concerning this rapidly evolving sector. • Every year 3 new partner countries showcase their best practices and bring their most promising businesses to Marseille .

Keynote speeches and round tables’ rationale description • KEYNOTE SPEECH + ROUND TABLE 1: Transport energy use and CO2 emissions are projected to increase by nearly 50% by 2030 and more than 80% by 2050: in order to adressclimate change and shift to a clean mobility, a number of opportunities and challenges awaitstwo key EU industries, energy and transport. • KEYNOTE SPEECH + ROUND TABLE 2: The limited availability of charging infrastructure for electric/hybrid vehicles, including a lack of adequate financing models and O&M strategies, is one of the biggest obstacles to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. The issue will be discussed by representatives of four EV charging value chain’s spheres: infrastructure, utility, customer and O&M players. • KEYNOTE SPEECH + ROUND TABLE 3: In the coming years, hydrogen and fuel cells can potentially contribute around one-fifth of the total GHG emissions’ abatement need by 2050. Indeed, this versatile vector can play a major role in achieving a broad decarbonisationof transport segments by complementing battery electric vehicles. Achieving this goal requires policy makers, investors and industry to step up their efforts. • KEYNOTE SPEECH + ROUND TABLE 4: 1/3 of global GHG emissionsdepends on the action of cities, and ¼ of the energyconsumed by citiesis for transport.
