  1. Colonoscopy involves treatment of any abnormalities in the intestine.

  2. The inner structure of the colon (large intestine) is studied and evaluated by a medical examiner, typically by a gastroenterologist.

  3. The colonoscope is provided with a camera and a light source at its tip which allows the doctors to get the inside view of the entire colon region.
