Animal’s body Turtles have fascinating bodies. The Sea Turtle can grow up to be 200 to 1,500 pounds and 8 feet in length. A Leatherback Can weigh up to 2,200 pounds. A turtle’s shell may be brown or green with dullish shades. The shell’s border has patterns. Turtles have claws or webbed feet depending if they live in the water or land.
HABITAT Turtles live in interesting parts of the world. They can live anywhere around the world. They can live in water, deserts, forests, and other climates. They survive by staying cool in burrows underground or in water.
habits Turtles have strange habits. They are carnivores. It eats insects, crayfish, crabs, snails, fish, frogs, toads, snakes, birds, eggs, and small mammals. Their nesting place is always the same place every year. This causes problems because they’ll go anywhere or over anything to get there. They could die doing this. Fresh water turtles move more quickly on land than most tortoises. Some even run.
INTERESTING FACT An interesting fact about turtles is that a mother turtle never sees her babies. It takes 2 or more months for the eggs to develop. During this time, they can be eaten by foxes, skunks, bears, raccoons, or other animals.
