  2. Ergonomics: The factors that make up a great product. Efficient, flexible and safe. These are the foundation of Ergonomics.

  4. Factors of Ergonomics The product must serve its purpose and work well. The product must be safe for most ages to use. The product should be accessible to ALL people.

  5. My idea: I think that ergonomics has a lot to do with product expansion. Taking an existing product and improving its reliability, quality and accessibility. *Toaster*

  6. For example: They changed the size, how much weight the scale could withstand and the whole interface of the product. They took an idea and expanded on it. They took a problem and solved it. Take the weight scale for example, they have found a way to weigh people in wheel chairs from the comfort of home. Before that it was challenging for people in wheel chairs to be weighed. They took the scale idea and expanded it to accommodate everyone.

  7. The power of Ergonomics: Ergonomics should be incorporated into every product for the simple reason that it creates a sense of equality in its consumers. A person with a disability will be able to use the product with the same ease as a person without a disability.
