    2. A Science WebQuest is… An inquiry-based project for students that requires the use of internet resources to acquire knowledge, concepts, and skills in science. The three step guide: The Challenge, The Journey, The Report

WebQuest Examples… Viewing recent Hubble telescope photos of stars and star clusters Compiling lists of rain forest animals and grouping them into categories Studying weather maps over a three- or four-day period and preparing weather forecasts Gathering earthquake location data, plotting them on a map Studying insects and their adaptations for survival in different regions of the United States

    4. The Challenge, The Journey, The Report Parts 1 and 2 should be completed by the teacher and given to the student or cooperative group. The student or group completes Part 3 and prepares the final report, which can take a variety of formats.
