Pipeline Processing & Products Round Table Goals -- Identify & Prioritize: When is the best legacy is ADDITIONAL DATA OBSERVATIONS Calibration data should be obtained to increase the fidelity of the data products - wavelength calibrations - flat field related observations Data products & supporting algorithms that will enable and extend the scientific utility of HST spectroscopy - optimal extraction (faint targets) - LSF availability (library) - wave cal (COS: global solution across modes) - flat field (L flat, P flat, FP-pos, fourier transform, D2 lamp obs) - time preview capability – extract temporal slices, as fn of bandpass - High Res (2048x2048, R~200,000) STIS UV – up-down 1/2 pixel correction HST Spec Pipeline & Legacy Products Round Table Kaiser, Bowen, Charlton, Lehner, Stanghellini
