Mission from Charlie: “To inspire active, productive and enthusiastic lifelong learners who create brighter futures for our community and our world”
BOMBSHELLS THESE ARE THE ISSUES... Parents • Parent involvement is almost non-existent • School Council Members are few • Low attendance to parent teacher evenings and report nights Students MOTIVATION across the school community is lacking Students are rarely completing homework & reading tasks Students question the relevance Resisting current curriculum 13 years in the one school Community Lacks cultural diversity Lacks employment Heavily focussed on Cancan footy club Farmers are broke, wheat prices dropped • Teachers • Curriculum is predictable and unadventurous • Teachers lowering expectations • Teachers are loyal and experienced, but boring and dull • Teachers are not united • Literacy & Numeracy Scores are WORSE than state average
“Old” Traditional Classrooms Should our classrooms look like this?
Should they stay like this? Or should we upgrade our learning environments?
