Visiting Thailand as a Tourist When you visit Thailand for the purpose of relaxation, sightseeing and personal enlightenment, you are a tourist. A tourist is not allowed or supposed to work or do business in Thailand. Tourists need a Thai tourist visa so they can stay in Thailand for 15 - 30 days. Requirements for a Tourist Visa When applying for a tourist visa for Thailand from India, certain documents need to be arranged and fees are to be paid needed to obtain one. Fee and document requirement for Thailand are subject to change anytime and without prior notice, so it would be a good idea for a tourist to ensure all the information before flying to Thailand. Documents Required for Thailand Visa for Indians: Passport: Original passport with the validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank pages. Application Form: Visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant. Photo Specification: Two recent passport sized colored. Covering Letter: Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head. Ticket: Ticket as per travel plans with ticket number. Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking for the complete duration. Bank Statement: Original Bank Statement for the last three months stating the name & contact number of the Branch Manager with a minimum balance of Rs.50000 with stamped and signed.
