  2. Introducing needs needs • Needs are the main reason people invent. There are lots of ways needs are useful • There are three different kinds of needs. • Economic needs • Military needs • And social needs

  3. Economic needs • Most inventions come from economic needs. Economic needs use lots of machines and devices. Economically successful Inventions may create an economic need for additional inventions. For example clothes went from being sewed by hand to being sewed by machines. Those machines are called sewing machines.

  4. Economic Inventions Economic inventions Farming tools The rake A hose Hammers Animal feed Tractors fertilizer • There are tons of inventions that are in the economic section like……… • FARMING TOOLS!

  6. Economic needs in agriculture • Here are some examples of agriculture we use every day! • Farming tools like… • Tractors • a Plower Tractors are used a lot.

  7. Military needs • War and threats of war have normally simulated inventions. When nations are at war it encourages inventors, engineers, and scientist to create weapons that are stronger and more powerful. Many inventions have lead to war and peace. World War II has simulated more research and inventions such as the atomic bomb.

  8. Social needs • Social needs have brought thousands of inventions and discoveries. Lots of inventions and discoveries have eased threats to health. Others have made life easier. lots of inventions have helped in battles such as vaccines to prevent poliomyelitis.
