Fellow & Member Grades • Fellow Grade FCIBSE (CEng?)This grade is for those qualified to honours degree level or equivalent, engaged in technical and commercial leadership in building services engineering (i.e. same as for MCIBSE) plus eminence in the profession and at least 10 years’ experience in a position of superior responsibility. • Member Grade MCIBSE (CEng?) This grade is for those qualified to foundation degree level or equivalent, engaged in technical and/or commercial management in building services engineering. This grade is for those qualified at NVQ level 3 or equivalent, contributing to design, development, maintenance, commissioning, operation or manufacture in building services engineering. Competencies- for Engineering Practice Report These set out the skills and knowledge of building services engineering. – 16 Objectives under 5 headings • Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of existing and emerging technology • Apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems • Provide technical and commercial leadership • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills • Demonstrate a personal commitment to professional standards, recognising one’s obligations to society, the profession and the environment Republic of Ireland

Candidate Application… Competences Based upon Engineering Council requirements - • Candidates will be expected to be fully competent in at least 60% 70% of these 16 objectives and have a knowledge and understanding of them all • Review their career and experience to date compile your report • Submit their Engineering Practice Report - 4,000 words • - Along with Organisational Chart • Development Action Plan outlining short, medium and long term goals Republic of Ireland
