Areas for Development • Development of two area FISS teams by September 2019 • Streamlining Referrals and Pathways to Services through the Early Help Hub ready for September 2019 when schools return • Team around the School Offer – what role can FISS offer to schools to support the delivery of an effective early help offer. • Multi Agency Network Meetings – 3 times a year (September, January and May) • Refresh of the EH Strategy to recognise new model

  6. A couple of polite reminders! EHE – Electively Home Educated A reminder that the EWS would like to know about any parents considering EHE at the earliest opportunity. This will allow them to follow up with parents to ensure they are making an informed decision. Schools can signpost parents considering this option to the EWS. TaMHS/CaMHS A reminder that Education staff can refer children directly to the TaMHS/CaMHS SPA (single point of access). Parents do not have to visit their GP for a referral. The process is the same for schools who trade/do not trade with TaMHS, schools who are in/not in the Trailblazer. LSCB Threshold Training : Please encourage and release staff to attend the threshold training as it is really important that we all have a shared understanding of thresholds.

NEW FUNDING EOF – Early Outcomes Fund • £415k for one year for Swindon • To identify and support children who are at risk of or display early signs of atypical language development from the antenatal period onwards, particularly 0-30 months, in order to intervene at the earliest opportunity and minimise the achievement gap by age 5.

INNOVATION FUNDING • Innovation Fund Project – Support for Children affected by Alcohol Dependent/Alcohol Misuse Parents • £577k over 3 years • PHE lead • Refer in the usual way and we will pick up through Early Help Hub. • Additional resources available for parents for example Lift Psychology, Turning Point etc.

REDUCING PARENTAL CONFLICT FUNDING • Reducing Parental Conflict – 2 Elements • grant funding of £20,100.00 to purchase the Frontline Practitioner training identified in the Reducing Parental Conflict scoping tool that our Local Authority (LA) recently completed. • grant funding of £15k to help local areas develop their strategic approach to embed parental conflict support
