Dr Yaacob Ibrahim was a structural engineer at BylanderMeinhardt Partnership before receiving a scholarship to pursue a PhD at Stanford University (US).  He then worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Cornell University (US) before returning to Singapore to join the National University of Singapore.  He is currently on leave of absence from the university as an associate professor

Mr Khaw Boon Wan was re-elected as a Member of Parliament in May 2011.  He represents the Sembawang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) and is currently the National Development Minister, having served as the Health Minister prior to that.   • In 2003, Mr Khaw participated in the successful battle against SARS.  In 2005, when the NKF saga erupted, he played a critical role in restoring public confidence in the charities sector.
