  2. Definition of Technology • Technology means the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.

Technology Facts • Started Technology 1700s. • 85% schools have multi computers • Average student 24:1 ratio • 48% projectors • 20% have interactive whiteboards • 1.6mill whiteboards in k-12 classes • Textbooks/binders weigh 25 lbs • Computers weigh 5lbs • 64% internet access • Ask the class pros and cons

  4. Pros of Technology/ Computers • Special needs would benefit: time • Grants can be earned • Teachers Interaction • Computers and teachers advantage • Computers and teachers lecturing • Computers-collaborate-discover-think

  6. Cons of Technology/ Computers • Technology: Expensive, time consuming • 2-3 years new computers • Inner city schools couldn’t afford. • Distraction to students. • Spell check: easy • Easier to cheat, plagiarize • Critical thinking

You must go eat a question mark, then a math problem will appear. after it appears you must answer the question correctly in order to eat a ghost"Math fact Shoot-out" is a game where you can pick what type of math problems you want to do. (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) you must answer 5 questions in a row correctly in order to take foul shots."Math Bingo" is a game where you are given a board with numbers on it, you are asked a question, if you have the correct answer to the question on your board then you click on the number, if you do not then another question will appear. you are timed for the game
