  1. In these tutorials the import of a externel geometry will be review Workbench 12.1 Aalborg Universitet Esbjerg Søren Heide Lambertsen 20-09-2010

  2. As an example we will use a Static Structural analysis. Start the building of a Structural analysis double clicking on ”Static Structural (Ansys)”

  3. Now double click on ”Geometry” to start Designmodeler.

  4. When the Designmodeler starts you have to select unit type

  5. Then click on ”File”

  6. In the File menu click on ”Import External Geometry File...”

  7. Then select the geometry file you want to use. In this example we will use the file”MAT.sat”

  8. To import the geometry click on ”Generate”

  9. Now the geometry is made and you can close the Designmodeler. The geometry will automatreally be saved.

  10. When the geometry is imported a green sign will appear to the left of the Geometry menu.
