Title Slide • Title, Picture (Bibliography), Name(s), Period • Introduction, Purpose, and Research • Introduction and Purpose • Definition of an Aquaponic Living Wall • Include a picture of the projected location of your system in our school garden • Give the dimension of the space that you will need. • What purpose would your system serve? • Research • Look for images that may give your design inspiration – identify the parts of the images that you plan to incorporate in your original design (Bibliography) Checkpoint #1

Scale Drawings • Using the measurements from your location, design an Aquaponic Living Wall based on your research and your own creative ideas. • Draw a scale drawing of your group’s system • Drawing should be neatly done with a ruler • Include front view and either a side or top view • Give scale and draw according to that scale • Label parts and measurements • Animation • Using shapes and images, put together an animation of your Living Wall showing how it will function and operate in our garden. • Structure • Plumbing • Movement of water and nutrients • Growth of Fish and Plants • Parts List • List the parts that would be needed for the system • Grow bed parts • Fish bin parts • Plumbing parts Checkpoint #2

  4. Parts Budget • Research the cost of the parts by comparing two vendors. Create a two column list showing the comparable costs (Bibliography) • NOTE: If parts can be donated or upcycled or recycled please state them in another column. You must be certain that these parts do not need to be purchased. • Based on this information, which place would you recommend for purchasing the plumbing parts • For “Free” parts please state how we would be able to acquire them. • Basic Science Knowledge • Explain how your system’s water flow operates (Bibliography) • Explain how the aquaponics system works (Bibliography) Checkpoint #3
