The Wage and Hour Division (WHD) of the U.S. Department of Labor promotes compliance with labor standards to protect and enhance the welfare of the nation's workforce. This includes educating the public, providing resources and assistance, and enforcing labor laws. With a focus on collaboration and partnerships, WHD strives to increase public awareness and improve compliance through the availability of information and various non-traditional partnerships.
