  2. ICN Education Network (ICNEN) Network provides a forum to address nursing educational issues worldwide. ICNEN was officially launched in Durban, South Africa during the ICN 24th Quadrennial Congress 2 July 2009.

  3. Mission The mission of the ICN Education Network is to provide a global forum for nurse educators and others interested in nursing education.

  4. ICNEN Aims to Address: • Role of nurse educators, worldwide • Quality of student education • Opportunities and challenges of nursing education and clinical practice, and • International nursing shortage and nursing faculty shortage that exists worldwide

  5. Membership Full membership is open to all nurse educators and individuals interested in nursing education. The most recent membership count revealed 732 members from 87 countries.

  6. Education Network Internet Forum Registered users are permitted to post new topics, reply to topics, as well as edit and delete your posts regarding nursing education. On-line discussions : • international shortage of nurse educators, language as a barrier to patient safety, • universal concepts of nursing leadership and • holistic care.

  7. CASN Community Nurse Educators • In progress to create a website for innovations in community practice education (peer reviewed)

  8. Dialogue and questions • Interest in Outreach • Social justice lens • Other ideas
