The Best Selling two wheelers in India of 2016! We are almost half way through the year and there have been a huge surge in terms of bikes that are being sold. There have been new launches and new product but which have survived and which have been heightened expectations? The two wheeler market in India has grown steadily over the past few years and the trend is expected to stay for a while to come. If you were to choose a dominating segment of two wheelers in India, it would have to be the 150cc segment. Crowded with quality vehicles and brilliant designs – which would make the cut? 1.Bajaj Avenger: With its chiselled looks and extremely comfortable riding, the Bajaj Avenger is soaring in terms of sales numbers. The bike has come through a major redesign and fits perfectly in the cruiser section. Launched with two versions – street and cruise; the bike does give users an option on styling and engine specifications (150cc and 220cc). Looking at the cruiser segment, the Avenger makes it mark both as a product and at a price. The two wheeler price is Rs 75,000/- (ex-
showroom Delhi) for the Street 150 and the Cruise or Street 220 is about Rs 84,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi). 2.Yamaha FZ-Z: Sports design enthusiasts have pushed the popularity of this bike by a mile. With its great looks and a fuel injection system that does really well, the 149cc powered bike does quite well on Indian roads. There were questions marks on pickup, with just 12.9bhp of power, but the bike performs strongly among other two wheelers in India. While the comfort factor could have been raised a few notches in the bike, the design compensates for everything else. Priced at Rs 89,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is a tad bit higher as compared to other two wheeler prices. 3.Bajaj Pulsar AS 150: Move out of the way, Bajaj is here to stay. If there is one reason that the Pulsar has responded to the Indian markets well, it is just because of the way the bike has been made for India. The Pulsar AS 150 is popular among different segments and does form a complete package with styling, power, efficiency, maintenance and comfort. In the engine specs section, the 4 valve 150cc engine powers 16.7bhp which is powerful enough to thrill you. Lastly, an efficient engine offers you superior mileage which has been the reason behind its high sales. 50km is what the bike delivers on a litre of petrol and that is quite good when compared with similar two wheelers in India. Bajaj has priced it at Rs 80,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi), which is just about perfect too. Summary: Delivering a complete package is what pushes sales in the two wheeler segment in India and that is what the Bajaj Pulsar AS 150 gives you. You can be assured of great performance and perfect after sales service. In fact, Bajaj has one of the widest networks when it comes to service centres giving it a huge advantage in the market.
