Compact, Lightweight Solid State Relay with Low On-State Resistance PRESS RELEASE DATA SHEETS The RDHA701CD10A2N radiation hardened DC single pole, single throw-type SSR is designed to improve reliability by replacing traditional electro-mechanical relays that are vulnerable to vibration and shock. The new SSR features very low on-state resistance (RDS(on)) to improve thermal efficiency and is offered in a low profile, hermetically sealed ceramic package. HI-RES GRAPHIC HiRel HOME PAGE • Advantages • Ceramic packages are 50% lighter than all metal packages of a similar size. • A hermetically sealed solid state switching device provides a more reliable switching component. The switching can be controlled so no additional filter circuitry is required. • Satellites are powered by solar cell and battery storage. The power can be turned on and off via the SSR. Power to specific pieces of equipment can also be switched on or off. • The RDHA701CD10A2N SSR improves reliability, reduces footprint and eliminates the need for additional filtering making it an attractive replacement to less reliable, heavier electro-mechanical relays. • Features • Total ionizing dose capability to 100KRAD. Report available on the radiation report section of the IR website. • Optically isolated • 1000 volt input to output and channel to channel isolation • Hermetically sealed lightweight (0.8 grams) ceramic package • Screening in accordance with MMIL_PRF_38534 Class K available. At this time fully compliant Class K certification is pending DLA approval. • Compact size at 0.370 inch by 0.470 inch with surface mountable gull wing leads • MTBF per MIL-HDBK-217F SF@TC=25°C is 22.5MHrs per channel • No moving parts October 2010
