  11. Adam and eve • Created to love and enjoy God. • They reject God’s love. • And Man’s relationship with God was damaged.

  12. Relationship with GOd • God chose to fix His relationship with Man. • God uses covenants to bring people back to Him.

  13. Covenants • Let’s talk about some covenants God made with His people.

  14. Noah • Do you know the story of Noah? • Genesis 9:8-17

  15. Abraham • Do you know the story? • Genesis 22:15-19 • God begins to reveal Himself. • He establishes His chosen people.

  16. Moses • What did God give to his people? • 10 Commandments • God also made the Sabbath holy. As a gift to us.

  17. David • What do you know about David? • David : king, prophet, poet, warrior, “a man after God’s own heart” • Psalm 89:3-4

  18. Jesus • Fulfills God’s covenant with David. • The King forever. • Jesus creates a New Covenant

  19. The New Covenant • Jesus instituted the Eucharist. • He gives us His Body and Blood. • On the cross and in the bread and wine • Luke 22:14-20 • God restores our relationship with Him!

Small Group discussion • Do you always keep promises? • Do you know anyone who is always true to their word? • Do you believe God always keeps His promises? • What do you like most about Noah? • How are your sacrifices going this Lent? • Do you usually rest on Sundays? • Do you cram all your homework on Sunday night? • Why do you think David was a man after God’s own heart? • Do you think God forgave David for his sins? • How do you think we should receive the Eucharist?
