Jerzy Jurga-life He was born on 3rd of July in 1940 and he died on 13rd of February in 2009 in Srem. He started painting when he was 16 years old. Jerzy lived and had his own artist studio in Srem. He had two wives and he had daughter Monika and son Jakub.
Youth and job He graduated from the History of Art. Institute at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In 1969-1984 he worked as a teacher in primary school and in the most famous high school in Srem.
Activity He opened with his wife a gallery in Srem and this gallery closed after two years.
Outsider Jerzy always emphasized , that he was ,,an outsider". That is why he consciously was standing aloof watching modern trends in art.
Awards He won the second prize and the distinction in XIII Painting National Competition of Jan Spychalski (Poznan in 1986).
CREATION: A few selected works:
Hobby His hobby was crossbow design. Since 1989 Jurga was a member of The British Crossbow Society.
Barbara Houwalt- her life She was born on 22nd of November in 1911 and she died on 5th of January. In 1934 she married Ildefons Houwalt and a year after their child was born (Barbara Houwalt-Kostecka a painter and an author). In 1945 they moved from Vilno to Poznan.

Awards She won the second prize in Spring Salon at the Museum of the Wielkopolska
School and job She graduated from Stefan Batory University from the faculty of Fine Arts. In 1936 she set up with her friends Vilnius Artists Cooperative Work.
