  24. Child Protection advice from A&B Council Registered Charity No: SCO 23487 • We should not underestimate the importance of doing everything we can to ensure a safe environment for local children • While most people in society are trustworthy we do not know who is coming to stay in the bunkrooms and we are not in a position to screen them in any way. • There are risks in operating an adult bunk house within a village hall where there are organised activities for children and young people • The arrangements that we are putting in place by way of adult supervision at all times in all parts of the communal areas helps to reduce the risk. These are quite complex and will only be as good as the people operating them which can become problematic over time and with turnover etc.  • Physically separating the bunk house from the village hall makes a lot of sense and greatly reduces the risk.

  25. Bunkrooms refurbishment:what are we spending the £10k on? Registered Charity No: SCO 23487 • Replace flooring • Repair lower sections of en-suite walls (damaged due to water seepage) • Fit waterproof coverings on walls • Privacy curtains • Improved lighting
