Understanding the Components and Working of Hydraulic Scissor Lifts Hydraulic scissor lifts are the man lifts typically used in construction and facility maintenance to raise the employees and their equipment to work heights. The scissor lift is constructed of a power system and a control system. These two systems have been integrated into the scissor lifts. A hydraulic fluid or compressed air powers a control system; the same operating principle is applied. Components of Hydraulic Scissor Lift First, you must understand the hydraulic scissor lift components to understand how itis works. Here is the list of hydraulic scissor lift components ● Hydraulic Scissor Lift Platform: A scissor platform comes in various sizes, forms and materials depending on the design of the scissor lift. A Scissor lift platform is also known as a hydraulic table. The working area supports a load of employees and work objects raised or lowered by a hydraulic scissor lift. ● Hydraulic Scissor Lift Base: Similarly, the base of a hydraulic scissor lift depends on the design of the lift. Step 2: Force the hydraulic fluid or compressed air from one area to another. Step 3: Push the cylinders outward to cause the legs to move apart. Step 4: Finally, raise the platform to the desired height.
