  3. Reasons for applying • to experience a culture that I think of as vastly different from my own • immerse myself in a new culture by learning their history, customs and daily lifestyle.

  5. Preparation • My knowledge in regards to BiH was next to nothing. However, because CSBSJU offered informational classes and meetings, I felt prepared for this particular program. • Sense of Community

  6. “Make a change…” • NDC allowed me to see a change occurring. • “Two Schools Under One Roof” • EkoCentar: the staff there really wanted to presere the environment and educate people on how to do the same.

  7. How I changed • Consistently pushed outside of my comfort zone • Allowed me to: • Become more confident • Accept more responsibility • New world perspective • I have matured • Allowed me to witness the coming together of two different cultures that share a history, and learn how they have been able to work together.
