  2. The mining industry saw a turn of events with the Tamil Nadu government announcing a new policy for the sale of beach minerals. The government is set to put forth new granite policy that will allow it to undertake the sale of beach minerals in order to augment resources. http://vvmineralblog.wordpress.com

Further improvements can be expected as the government prepares to launch a ‘Comprehensive Flood Protection Plan’ that will help curb the impact of floods in Chennai and other vulnerable coastal districts. Top priority will be given to Chennai – Bengaluru and Madurai – Thoothukudi corridors for the development of industrial corridors project.
