  2. In the late 1980s, VV Mineral Vaikundarajan founded a beach sand mining company. Over the next 20 years, the company would go on to become one of the largest mining companies in India.   6. Following these allegations, the state government set up an investigating committee to look into the matter. Any evidence against the company is yet to be recorded.
