  2. S6 Students 2moro’s Driver All S6 Students should go to the Assembly Hall on Tuesday 29th October at 9.20am to take part in the 2moro’s Driver event.. Please arrive on time.

  3. Challenge 9: As it’s Halloween on Thursday, why not read something that scares you? The library has a display of ghost and horror stories if you are looking for inspiration!

  4. Lasswade’sHalloween bake off The bake off is back! And we need you to make your best Halloween creations The winners will be judged on: -Looks -Taste -Technical Ability House points will be awarded to the winners 31st October Cakes will be sold at lunch in S6 area on second floor

  6. Lunchtime Queuing System The Student Voice School Parliament recently discussed how best to overcome the crowding in the Atrium at lunchtime. One of the ideas is to create a priority lunch queuing system. From Monday 28 October to Christmas, Student Voice has agreed to trial this system for each year group when using the main cafeteria (not the kiosks). This means on the given day, priority on being served in the lunch queues will be given to the relevant year group for the first 10 minutes of lunch break (i.e. 12.55 to 1.05pm).

  7. Lunchtime Queuing System Main Cafeteria Lunchtime Priority Days (12.55 – 1.05pm) Monday = S1 Tuesday = S2 Wednesday = S3 Thursday = S4/5/6 Hints/Tips If you want to use the Main Cafeteria and it’s not your year group’s ‘priority day’ then don’t queue up until after 1.05pm!

  9. In partnership with the Revision sessions after school next week, you will be completing study skills lessons in PSE. Please bring some text books or jotters to use in the next three lessons. Come prepared!   S5 PSEStudy Skills Techniques

  10. Calling all Student Voice Reps! • Check the SV Notice Board at the front of the school for our November Council meeting dates. They are in the first week of November! • If you have any items you would like discussed at the meeting then please see Mrs Nicolson before Thursday 31 October to add them to the Agenda!

Message for All LHS Students If you have an important issue that your would like your Student Voice Representatives to discuss at their next Year Group Council meeting then look for anyone in your year wearing the badge below and pass on your issue! Don’t just moan about things! Try and get them fixed through Student Voice!

How can we sign up? • Sign Up Sheets have been posted outside Room 113 What’s in it for us? • Find a study skill/revision technique that will work for you • Leave with a Revision Plan • Feel confident about your Prelim and Final exam performance • Earn House points for attending School Bus Travel • If you normally get a school bus you will be provided with Lothian bus tickets to get home if you attend (you must show your bus pass to gain these)
