Initiative: Project Life Line
Project Life Line A community-based physician-pharmacist collaborative project to improve patient health through the adoption of practices and education that will lead to safe and more effective use of opioid prescriptions, and ultimately reduce overdose and overdose deaths.

Essential Features • Physicians agree to: • Discuss risks for overdose • Co-prescribe naloxone with opioid scripts

Pharmacist Curriculum • Understanding, Recognizing, and Treating the Disease State • Application of Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) within Pharmacies • Legal, Medical, and Professional Responsibilities Associated with Prescription Opiates • Opioid Safety and Intranasal Naloxone 3.0 Credit Hours
Evaluation • Continuing Education Assessments • Number of Pharmacists Trained • Number of Physician Partners • Amount of Engagement Time with Student Ambassadors • Partner Feedback in Guided Interviews • Number of Naloxone scripts written, filled and picked up
