Associate Professor. Department of Economics Washington University in St. Louis. LACEA13th- 16th JULY2009BOGOTÁ-COLOMBIA • Schedule: Monday, July 13th to Thursday, July 16th . (Sessions are programmed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 m and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m) • Course Description: Basics linear estimation models, Endogeneity, Linear models for panel data, Program Evaluation, Regression Discontinuity Designs, Dynamic panel data models. Computer lab sessions in STATA. • Prerequisites: classical linear regression model and instrumental variables. • How to apply: • LACEA´s Active Membership (non-member applications will be accepted but once accepted participants must become LACEA members) To become a member go to http://www.lacea.org/members.htm • Download application. • Recommendation letter from supervisor (director of institution; professor for student applicants) • Send application and recomendation letter to: cursolacea@javeriana.edu.co. • The course has no cost.  Participants are responsible for travel and accommodation expenses.  Grants will be provided for a select group of participants.  Selection criteria is based on GDN objectives.  • Only complete applications will be considered.  Space is limited. • Deadline to apply is July 6, 2009.
