  3. Schoolyears • 1856 Catholic Secondary School Eperjes • 1859-1861 Private student • 1864 Munich • Studied under Sándor Wagner • He made lots of pencil drawings of his brothers and then he became famous in Europe

  4. Hisfirstindependentyears • His first painting is called the Hesperus • He met his wife in 1872 • He painted his most famous picture, it is called May Day • In 1873 his first painter era ended, because the May Day was not a great succes
