  3. In the Eyes of Experts-I “I have known Matloob for the last couple of years when he was student of Punjab University. Working Hard, painting from spot, struggling some time demoralized but never gave up. Now I saw his paintings after some time quiet impressive specially evening at railway tracks, beautifully captures the atmosphere as the water lilies. Observing the nature very closely. If he keeps the sprit for another couple of years not following the market what is hot selling he will make a mark as a genuine painter.” Iqbal Hussain

  4. In the Eyes of Experts-II “Mirza Matloob Baig is worthy exponent of the Punjab School of landscape painting. In the oil on canvas painting of Baig, the viewer has the impression that he may step into several of the canvases and take along peaceful walk stretching for miles. Mirza Matloob have several solo & group exhibitions to his credit, and also contributes annually to the exhibitions that take place in Lahore. In Baig’s painting signs of human habitation are skillfully interspersed with exuberance of nature’s beauty. A women vigorously washes clothes in water reflecting leafy trees; tents reflected in clear water are animated by flock of geese roaming around. There are sunflowers almost cover the outside of a brick wall of house, and in a painting that is two third, the study of the sky lively

  5. Contt. with scudding clouds, a colorful line of clothes is seen close to an aviary bringing merging natural beauty with every day life; Baig’s inspiration is consistent with skilled use of brush and media with reference to a romantic landscape aesthetic. Practicing landscapist spend considerable time painting outdoors while observing the colors and moods of nature. His vision encompasses the earth, reflection on water, changing skies and whimsical patterns of sunlight and shades. Wherever the painter setup his easel, he is engaged in the problem of creating the illusion of deep space on a flat surface” Marjorie Hussain
