  2. Introduction The tropical Rainforest is very helpful . Rainforest are located in Southern Asia, South America, Africa, Central America, Pacific Islands they are located near the equator and need heat and rain. There are many plants and animals in the rainforest. Rainforests in the world are important to us.

  3. Forest Floor and Understory The forest floor and the understory are the lowest layers of the rainforest. The forest floor is the lowest layer of the Rainforest it is very dark and wet .also it has larger animals. The understory is very humid and also has a little more light than the forest floor.

  4. Canopy and Emergent Layers The canopy and the emergent layers are the two highest layers. The canopy is full of animals and birds and also plant life. The emergent layer is the top layer of the rainforest. It has animals and plants.

  5. Supplies and Products We get many supplies from the rainforest. We get fruits and vegetables as oranges, bananas and lemons. We also get gum, and medicine and also wood and cinnamon too.

  6. Introduction and Appearance The three toed sloth is about the size of a dog . It lives in the canopy layer that means the third layer of the rainforest. The sloth’s fur feels like straw. The sloth looks like it is wearing a mask.

  7. Habitat The sloth lives in South and Central America. It lives in the canopy layer. It lives in the cecraoia tree.

  8. Diet The sloth eats flower buds and leaves from the cecropia tree. It drinks water from a river. It eats mostly leaves.

  9. Predators and Prey A sloth is a very endangered animal. Animals that eat sloths include jaguars, harpy eagles and anacondas. This makes them very endangered.

  10. Adaptations If the three toed sloth stays to long in a tree it is so slow that it will turn green and blend in with the tropical rainforest trees.

  11. Interesting Facts The sloth is so slow it only goes to the bathroom once a week! The sloth’s fur has chemicals on it .It uses its chemicals to get away predators.
