Remember that a high Turnover does not necessarily equate to a high Gross Profit. It is the Gross Profit that is insured so this is of importance. In the example given above, we can calculate the rate of profit as follows: Gross Profit £25,000 × 100 = 25% (Rate of Gross Profit) Turnover (Sales) £100,000
